Run Light Program
The Run Light Program is designed to help you optimize your running technique and training. By the end of the program your running form will feel effortless and light. We’ll improve your running economy so that the miles tick off so easily that you’ll feel like you’re cheating. We’ll optimize your training strategies to minimize your risk of injury so that you can keep running for the next 30 or 40 years.
During three one-to-one sessions we will break down your running technique and training habits. We will also perform a full body assessment to identify any areas of reduced mobility or weakness. We’ll review your injury history and relate it back to the assessment findings to see if there are any patterns. We’ll also have a look at all your running shoes and orthotics and give you specific advice on shoe selection. Once we have completed this comprehensive assessment we will design a customized plan specific to you.
Using video analysis, we’ll optimize your running technique and provide the videos to you for your own reference. If we identify any areas of reduced mobility or weakness, we will show you specific exercises designed to address these limitations. We will review your training habits to identify any strategies that might be increasing your injury risk. We’ll also teach you how to monitor training load and understand its relationship to tissue adaptation. This will allow you to develop your own training style while minimizing your risk of future injury.
