If you’re not injured, and you are achieving all of your running goals, is it wise to change your running technique? Like most questions, the answer is “it depends” In this case it depends on whether you are interested in improving performance AND you are prepared to take the risk of sustaining an injury. Whenever we change anything about running technique, even if we improve it, we put stresses on other tissues. These tissues are not used to those kind of stresses and we may overload them and cause an injury. For this reason, if you’re going to change your running technique, do it SLOWLY! ——— Matthew Boyd Physiotherapist #reddeerrunners #reddeerrunning #reddeerrunner #runreddeer #reddeerrunningroom #reddeerrunningtrails #runner #running #runnersofinstagram #run #runninginjury #runninginjuries #runninginjuryfree #runninginjuriessuck #runninginjuryprevention #runninginjuryclinic #runningperformance #marathontraining #marathon #halfmarathon #halfmarathontraining #runnersworld #runnerlife #runningtechnique #runningtech #runningtechniquespecialist #runningtechniques #runningtechniquetuesday
